KAZIT BACK TO SCHOOL

Kazit Children Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO),has donated school kits to children of two orphanages in Abuja.

The beneficiary orphanages are Divine Heritage Orphanage and Christ Foundation Orphanage both in Kuje. Speaking at the presentation of the items to the children, the founder of the NGO, Mrs Aramide Togun, said it was the foundation’s way of helping the children. She said that the gesture was also due to the realisation of the difficulties being faced by parents to cater for their children, not to talk of children who had no parents. She said that the NGO had been studying the situation in the two orphanages since 2012 and realised that school kits had become a serious challenge for them . ‘’We decided to do ‘Kazit Kit a Child Back to School’ this year because we know what parents pass through when their children are going back to school. “So you can imagine what happens at the orphanage homes.

‘’We are working with two orphanags and they have more than 50 children in their homes.

“We just decide that in our own little way we are going to buy school kits for them to lift a little bit of burden on the shoulders of their proprietors,’’ she said.

Togun said that the NGO planned to reach as many homes as possible in the near future and appealed to rich Nigerians and corporate body.
